Aerea prepares for
the future of Defence

Privately owned since its foundation in 1927, AEREA is an Italian firm focuese on design, manufactruing and product supporto for store carriage and release systems successfully in use with all main military aviation platforms in operation in Europe, such as Eurofighter, F-35, M346 and M345 and helicopters AW/T129, AW101, AW149 and NH90.

It is an hi-tech niche market segment, internationally competed on a multi-year basis, the company copes with by consistent investments in terms of both technological and product improvement.

Such a strategy adapts as well to the ongoing evolution of today’s geo-political scenario as confirmed during the recently concluded Farnborough Airshow, among the most important post-COVID aerospace events in occasion of which AEREA has showed few new concepts, such as the optionally pneumatic HRLU-X self-aligning release unit, a multi-mission supersonic pod and an innovative sonobuoys pneumatic ejection systems being adopted by an important customer in the US.

Such new products and technologies contribute to AEREA’s evolutionary plans towards future international defence programs, such as TEMPEST, FCAS, MALE, which also includes recent award from the Italian MOD of the challenging AER(EP).P-145 ceritification for maintenance and logistic support operations.
