The engineering ability to design and develop role equipment for high-performance military aircraft and helicopters is a founding feature of AEREA and a valuable strong point for the optimization of production processes, including build-to-print or build-to-specification activities.
To support product development, AEREA has implemented over the years a wide range of technical and organizational tools with particular attention to design analysis and simulation. The main software used are: the complete suite of CAD-CAE modules by Unigraphics, Catia v5, MSC Nastran, MSC Adams, MSC Dytran, HBM NCode, NI Labview.
In our Experimental Department, AEREA realizes prototypes and performs a wide range of structural tests, as well as release tests of pneumatic ejector release units in our ejection test laboratory. When necessary, for more specialized tests, we can rely on a consolidated network of domestic and international external laboratories and universities.
Along with the Engineering Department, the R&D team specifically assesses ways to integrate the most innovative technologies into our products, laying the foundations for new solutions and equipment, aiming to meet and anticipate market needs. This includes expanding our field of applications in the space systems such as HDRM systems (Hold Down and Release Mechanism) for the docking and deployment of mobile components of space satellites (e.g. solar panels, antennas).
